Vest Cleaning:

1. Remove all ECPads from the vest pockets
2. Machine wash on gentle cycle with mild detergent

ECPad Maintenance:

• Wipe clean with a damp cloth as needed
• Never machine wash or dry ECPads
• Allow to air dry completely before refreezing
• Store in freezer or cool, dry place when not in use

Caution: Never expose ECPads to heat sources or put them in the dryer as this will damage the HypoCarbon® technology.

The ECPads should be removed before cleaning. The vest itself is hand or machine washable (gentle cycle, using a laundry bag). Use mild detergent, and hang dry. Do not put the ECPads in a washer or dryer – simply wipe them with a damp cloth if needed.

Preparing your ECPads is simple and straightforward:

1. Initial Freeze: Place all 8 ECPads flat in your freezer for 4-6 hours or overnight
2. Temperature Setting: Ensure freezer is set to 0°F (-18°C) or below
3. Positioning: Lay pads flat when freezing
4. Ready State: ECPads are ready when completely solid and rigid to touch

• ECPads can remain in freezer indefinitely until needed
• No special preparation required before first use
