Freeze the 8 ECPad inserts in a standard freezer (≈4-6 hours or overnight) until solid. Then insert them into the vest pockets. Adjust the vest using the buckles and velcro for a snug fit.

Approximately 2 hours of core cooling per freeze cycle. Actual time can vary with ambient temperature and activity level. You can refreeze the pads and reuse indefinitely.

One size fits most. The adjustable straps accommodate a chest circumference of approximately 34 to 44 inches (86 to 112 cm). We’ve successfully fit users from about 5’0” (150 cm), 100 lbs up to 6’4” (193 cm), 250 lbs comfortably. If you’re outside this range, drop us a question.

The ECPads should be removed before cleaning. The vest itself is hand or machine washable (gentle cycle, using a laundry bag). Use mild detergent, and hang dry. Do not put the ECPads in a washer or dryer – simply wipe them with a damp cloth if needed.

Absolutely. Our HypoCarbon® cooling medium is non-toxic and bio-safe. It’s a liquid-state formulation that poses no harm if a leak occurs (though leaks are rare due to durable construction). It’s also environmentally friendly and was originally developed for use on patients, so safety was paramount in its design.
